APPLING, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday October 30, 2005 at the University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia, Mrs. Doris M. Skidmore, 77, wife of the late Fred O. Skidmore, of Dozier Road, Appling, Ga. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday November 2, 2005, in the Kiokee Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Hartman and Dr. Ron Drawdy officiating. Mrs. Skidmore, a native of Columbia County, was member of the Kiokee Baptist Church and the Columbia Senior Citizens Group. Her hobbies included crocheting and ceramics. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Survivors include one son, Elvin B. (Mary) Skidmore, Appling; one daughter, Sandra (John) McMurdy, Appling; three sisters, Jennie Tankersley, Appling, Jewel Clark, Evans, and Barbara Ann Milford, Augusta; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Edwards, Jason Skidmore, Melissa Skidmore, and Amy Bartlettband three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews.
