AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Gypsene B. OBrien 79, the beloved wife of Mr. Edmond J. OBrien and a resident of Augusta Hills Nursing Facility went home to be with the Lord in Heaven on October 24, 2002. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years; one brother, Mr. Timothy Wade of Augusta; one sister, Nan Long of Topeka, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Peggy Wade Kitchens of Hephzibah and precious to her were many nieces and nephews. Mrs. OBrien was a faithful member of Fleming Christian Church in Augusta. She was completely devoted to her family and her walk with Christ. Her church family and friends were special to her. Mrs. OBrien worked at the Augusta Arsenal during WWII as well as Weedhaven Farms Greenhouses. No funeral service will be held. Fleming Christian Church, Lumpkin Road, Augusta, will dedicate a portion of their 11 a.m., Worship Service as a memorial on October 27, 2002. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Meals on Wheels fund at Fleming Christian Church or The Golden Harvest Food Bank. ...there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be hold for memorial for her.
