WARRENTON, Ga. - For the past three years, Aquinas coach Bill Tenore said his Irish had been trying to find a way to stop the running ability of Warren County quarterback Tommy Seals.

Make it four years, as Warren County won their homecoming game 57-14 over the Irish at Legion Field.

As it had been in each of those years, it was Seals and company getting the job done. The Screaming Devils' senior quarterback rushed for 116 yards on seven carries in the first half alone.

Seals, who also completed 4-of-5 passes for 81 yards, never touched the football in the second half.

Warren County's second team played the entire second half, which was played under the mercy rule. During that time, the Irish managed to score both of their touchdowns.

"We took care of business in the first half and got it over with quick," said Warren County head coach Lee Hutto.

The Screaming Devils, now 5-1 overall and 3-0 in Region 7-A, rushed for a season-high 500 yards on 37 carries by nine different runners.

Seals led the way. He was followed by Van Williams with six carries for 88 yards and Coby Reynolds three carries for 85 yards.

Warren County demonstrated their ability to run the ball from the outset, scoring six first half touchdowns to take a 43-0 lead at halftime.

Early in the third quarter, the Screaming Devils increased their lead to 50-0 on a 53-yard touchdown run by Tay Erwin.

Aquinas, now 0-6 overall and 0-3 in Region 7-A, scored their first touchdown on an 8-yard pass to Garrett Pippen from quarterback Brandon Paul.

Their second score came on 2-yard run by Drew Garren with 3:39 left in the game.
