Ride for Honduras

A bike ride Oct. 18 will support a mission trip to Honduras in June.

The 14-mile and 34-mile courses with multiple lap options begin and end at Marshall Baptist Church, 436 Marshall Church Road, Thomson.

Registration is $25. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the ride starts at 8 a.m.

This benefit ride will help defray costs for high school students who want to serve through Honduras Outreach, June 6-13. Call the church at (706) 595-6235.

Byrd Family 50th

The Byrd Family gospel singers will celebrate their 50th anniversary Sunday at Bible Fellowship Church.

The special guest will be Jimmy Snow, the son of Grand Ole Opry star Hank Snow.

The program starts at 10 a.m. and will include free barbecue after the service.

Gospel musician Wayne A. Gooden will perform from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Mike's Furniture, 220 Bobby Jones Expressway.
