HOMETOWN: Ottawa
OCCUPATION: New-development coordinator for ATC Development Corp.
GENRE: Country
PLAYS: Dillion acoustic
FAVORITE CONCERT ATTENDED: U2 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Calif., 1987. "They did a song called 40, which is basically about the troubles in Ireland, and they repeat the last line of the song over and over again. And Bono ... asked the audience to sing that song in unison ... 50,000 people sang in unison for an hour as they exited the stadium to go to their cars."
FAVORITE GIG: Opening for Billy Ray Cyrus in Aiken, 1990s. "It was my first big show, first time opening for a big artist. ... It was great because it was a real eye-opener to the business side of music."
WORST GIG: Opening for Waylon Jennings at a Red Cross benefit in Spartanburg, S.C., 2001. "The musicians that I had worked with, they were out of Spartanburg, and we had one rehearsal ... and the day of the show, when I was actually going to perform, they dropped the key, like two keys lower than what I normally sing the songs in, and they slowed the tempo way down, so it was kind of a drag."
HER FIRST INSTRUMENT: Piano
IF SHE COULD REMAKE ANY SONG: Nina Simone's I Love Your Lovin' Ways. "I would pull it back and slow it down and make it very sassy and bluesy."
FAVORITE MOVIE: The Godfather. "Just a brilliant film -- brilliant cast, brilliant directing, brilliant writing. What a great piece of work."
PRE-SHOW RITUAL: "I have to remember to breathe. "
IF SHE COULD PERFORM WITH ANYONE: "Right now I would love to perform and write with Mac Powell of Third Day."
