Mrs. Ann McKinney

EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Annie Dunaway McKinney, 66, of Owens Road, Evans, beloved wife of Mr. James Lamer McKinney, entered into rest Thursday, September 27, 2001, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at West Acres Baptist Church on Monday, October 1, 2001, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Larry Harmon and Rev. Tony Christie officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Additional survivors include a son, Richard L. McKinney of Evans; two daughters, Cathy Peebles of Augusta and Sandra Price of Appling; a brother, Sam Dunaway of Winder; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her, Mrs. McKinney was a member of West Acres Baptist Church where she attended the Love Sunday School Class. She was past president of Ladies Auxiliary to the United Transportation Union. Active pallbearers will be Bennie Thompson, Ed Ashley, Earl Morris, Wayne Pichard, Forrest Hines and Charles Herring. Honorary pallbearers will be the Love Sunday School Class of West Acres Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to West Acres Baptist Church, New Bus Fund, P.O. Box 675 Evans, GA 30809. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, from 6 until 9 p.m. Mrs. McKinney will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Platts Funeral Home, 337 N.
