Mr. Phillip McKagen

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, September 28, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Mr. Phillip McKagen, 72, of Augusta, beloved husband of Mrs. Mildred Phinizy McKagen. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 1, 2001, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustines Episcopal Church with The Very Rev. Neal Phelps officiating. Additional survivors include four sons, Phillip Coles McKagen of Augusta, Coles Phinizy McKagen of Atlanta; Darren Owen McKagen and Alex Maxwell McKagen, also of Augusta; a sister Mrs. Susan McKagen Chance Corbell of Hot Springs, Ark. and five grandchildren. A native of Augusta, Mr. McKagen was a contractor, a member of St. Augustines Episcopal Church and a U.S. Marines veteran during the Korean Conflict. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to: The American Red Cross Relief Fund, 1322 Ellis Street Augusta, GA 30901 and St. Augustines Episcopal Church Alter Guild, 3321 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
