Mr. Edward Betzold

Heavy equipment contractor

DAVISBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Edward Graham Betzold, 71, of 2316 Pinetree Nursery Road, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Columbia-Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. George Aycock and M.D. Cabe officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery, Dahlonega.

Mr. Betzold, a native of Mount Bethel, N.J., was a heavy equipment contractor and farmer. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Anchor Masonic Lodge 149, Plainfield, N.J., Washington County Farm Bureau, Georgia Cattleman's Association and Georgia Forestry Association. He attended Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Walker Betzold; three daughters, Debbie B. Caramagno, Jupiter, Fla., Betsy B. Miller, Friendswood, Texas, and Tammy White, Dahlonega; a brother, Stanley Betzold, Boydton, Va.; four sisters, Dorothy DeVilbiss, Carmel, Ind., Margaret Betzold, Cape Cod, Mass., Betty Dealaman, Warren, N.J., and Clara Youngman, Boydton; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Cabe, Mac Cabe, Todd Cabe, Mark Cabe, Chris Tanner and Chad Tanner.

Memorials may be made to Shirley Badke Burn Retreat, 3614-C J. Dewey Gray Circle, Augusta, GA 30909.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lang's Chapel, Sandersville.
