Rants and raves

Comments from our readers.

HOW COME I DON'T hear anyone ranting about Republican Sonny Perdue getting Georgia in a deficit budget situation? Can't blame the Democrats on this one since the chief executive's office and the Legislature are Republican.

TO THE WHITE SUV that dumped the beautiful red dog and her puppies on Amarillo Circle. I don't know if you thought they had a better chance that way, but my neighbor saw you do it and called the sheriff.

RAVES TO STATE legislators Gloria Frazier and Quincy Murphy and Richmond County school board trustees Helen Minchew, Jimmy Atkins, Joe Scott and Jack Padgett, who devoted their Wednesday afternoon to learning more about critical issues facing public education in Georgia at a public forum sponsored by The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and Augusta Technical College.

ATTENTION CYCLISTS (motorized and non-motorized): the CSRA is full of idiot drivers. Ride carefully!

A RANT TO Little Miss-want-to-be Queen Bee. Do the job you were assigned. It's not our job to pick up your slack!

WHEN ARE THEY going to fix that section of Windsor Spring Road between Richmond Hill and Rosier Road?

RAVE TO THE individual who crashed into my 3-foot-square solid concrete mailbox on Sept. 4. Thanks for helping me start the demolition for the relocation. Would you like the pieces of your vehicle that you left behind? You can pick them up at the Columbia County Sheriff's Department.

GOT THE BLUES over the economy, energy, housing, education, national security? Vote red in November, and get the blues out of office!

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING when you go into a place of business to apply for a job and you bring kids? Blue jeans of any kind are not professional. Baggy pants, tank tops, slippers? Come on. Get a baby sitter. Think before you apply!
