Blood donors needed
Jana Hill, a public affairs worker with the American Red Cross office in Augusta, said officials are calling for blood donors locally to aid those injured in today's blasts.
''There is an appeal for blood,'' she said. ''And I imagine in a situation like this, an appointment will not be needed.''
Mrs. Hill said those wanting to donate should go to La Pavilion shopping center at the corner of Washington and Pleasant Home roads. The office's normal hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
But, ''They may extend those,'' she said.
