Rants and raves

Comments from our readers:

IF EITHER BARACK OBAMA or John McCain is the answer, it must be a really stupid question.

LAW ENFORCEMENT Center: If you can't afford a new flag, then take the old tattered and torn one down. Respect the flag please.

IF I DIDN'T GET five letters a day from Broun, he might be OK.

RANT FOR THE TV NEWS stations that only reported the biggest election results, senators and whatnot. The local government is important also. The work starts with local government and moves up the ladder. The little people make the BIGGEST change.

I HAD HIGH REGARD for Mr. Tarver until he opened his mouth about GOP crossover.

I'D LIKE TO SAY that I don't see why anybody would complain about Columbia County deputies or any deputy driving their vehicle home. They put their lives on the line every day for little pay.

A RANT TO THE PEOPLE who keep trying to blame the high gas prices on Democrats. This has been for the last seven and a half years the policy that we have been following, so give me a break.

WHY SHOULD THE senior citizens bail out a school system that is not efficiently run?

I THINK IT'S VERY NICE that they street skate downtown and got new light poles and flowers and things, but wouldn't it be nice if south Augusta could get some of that stuff.

DR. BROUN and his wife will be an embarrassment to the 10th District. God help us!

THIS IS A RANT about the British Open Tournament. It is one of the most boring tournaments I have ever watched on TV.

I WANT TO SAY to the person who turned in my purse at Kroger on Washington Road near the Augusta National: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A GREAT RAVE FOR THREE outstanding clerks at Kroger on Wrightsboro Road for their outstanding personal service. That would be Shannon, Anna Laura and Richard.

I'M CALLING TO RAVE about Kentwood Nursing Home. If anyone has a loved one that needs a good nursing home Kentwood in Augusta is one of the best. I have a husband there and I know.

THE MOST IMPORTANT obstacle to our school and medical system are the illegal immigrants. We are having to pay the tab for this overcrowding.
