CHIPLEY, Fla.-Mrs. Geraldine Parrish Weede, 84, died Saturday, July 26, 2004 at the residence of her son, Mr. Sam Weede of Chipley, Fla. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Bible Deliverance Temple with Rev. H. K. McKnight officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Weede was a native of Wrens, Ga. and had made Augusta her home for many years. She was a graduate of Wrens High School and Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Weede was a retired registered nurse from the VA Hospital after 40 years service and a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. Mrs. Weede was a member of Bible Deliverance Temple in Augusta and attended Holmes Creek Baptist Church in Chipley, Fla. Survivors include one son, Samuel J. Weede, Chipley, Fla.; one daughter, Sammie Sue Hester, Augusta; one brother, Randall R. Parish, Wrens, Ga.; two sisters, Libby Parrish, Wrens, Ga., Joy Young, Flat Rock, N.C.; on e granddaughter, Kysle Hester and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Randy Parish, Matthew Howard, Parish Howard, Marcus Howard, Douglas Young, John Huff Parish, Chuck Maile and Henry Sasser. If so desired memorials may be made to Bible Deliverance Temple, 1857 Fenwick Street, Augusta, Ga. 30904 or to Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 7, Wrens, Ga. 30833. A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening, July 29, 2004 at Platt's Funeral Home on Crawford Ave. Friends may call at the residence of her sister, Miss Libby Parrish, 106 Ramsgate Drive, Wrens, Ga.
