HARLEM, Ga. - Entered into rest July 28, 2004, at Doctors Hospital, after a lengthy illness, Mr. Woodrow W. Walker, 87, husband of Mrs. LaVerne Purcell Walker. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday July 30, 2004, in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Walker, a native of Richmond County, was a retired warehouse truck driver for the Hajoca Corporation. He was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, LaVerne P. Walker; four nieces, Myrna Williams, Irene Walker, Patsy Wortham, and Betty Dorminey, all of Augusta; one nephew, James Camp, Jasper; three step-children, Sondra Perry, Savannah, Trinda Brunner, Cohutta, and Larry Purcell, of Clermont, Florida and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. including a 7 p.m. special prayer and scripture with the Rev.
