AUGUSTA, Ga. - into rest Friday, July 20, 2007, at her residence, Mrs. Lois Linder Mertins, 76, wife of the late Edwin Carl Mertins, Jr. Mrs. Mertins was a native of Walterboro, SC. She was a retired office manager with Dr. Gordon Walters and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Family members include her sons: Edwin Carl "Chip" Mertins III and wife Tammy of Thomson, David Brian Mertins of Augusta; daughters: Sharon Black and husband Bill of Buford, GA, Sandra Mason and husband Miles of Duluth, GA; sisters: Harriett Craven of Walterboro, SC, Shirley Cooper of Walterboro, SC, Margaret Symynkywicz of Woonsocket, RI and four grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor David Hunter officiating.
