HOMETOWN: Aiken
MEMBER OF: FYB, 2006-present
STYLE: Hip-hop meets classic rock
FAVORITE CONCERT: Michael Jackson in Atlanta, early 1980s. "It was so exciting. I mean, he's the greatest entertainer. When you look up there and you see a showman that can pretty much hold the crowd in the palm of his hand or whatever -- that's Michael Jackson."
FAVORITE GIG: L'Oreal fashion show aboard the USS Intrepid in New York, 2004. "Everything came together really nicely. Everyone was just so professional. And the performance really turned out great."
FAVORITE FOOD: Macaroni and cheese
IF HE COULD PERFORM WITH ANYONE: Prince. "He's able to do so many things musically."
SONGWRITING PROCESS: "John (Davis) will pull up something on the guitar. He'll wind up just doing some riffs or whatever on the guitar until we come across something we both feel like is good. And from that point, it's total musical freedom. I normally just start writing words down, start writing lyrical ideas down, and before long we got a nice piece together."
FAVORITE MOVIE: THE USUAL SUSPECTS. "That's an awesome movie."
HANDPICKED CONCERT LINEUP: The Rolling Stones, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction; Michael Jackson, Thriller; Elton John, Candle in the Wind; Mariah Carey, Hero; Quincy Jones, The Dude; Herbie Hancock, Chameleon; Prince and the Revolution, Purple Rain
