Derek Michael Scott, 13, of Picquet Avenue, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Herndon officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

Derek, a native of Augusta, was a student at East Augusta Middle School.

Survivors include his father, Rudolph Scott Jr., Boston; two brothers, Deion Scott, Augusta, and Orlaundrius Scott, Colorado; a sister, Wykesha Scott, Augusta; his maternal grandmother, Lucretia Adams, Augusta; his paternal grandfather, Rudolph Scott Sr., Boston; and his maternal grandfather, Pierce Simpkins, Greenwood, S.C.

Pallbearers will be Victor Scott, Victor Scott Jr., Demetrius Ruffin, Michael Scott, Tavares Milton and John Sullivan.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
