Mr. James Hills Sr.

Retired truck driver, custodian

WRENS, Ga. - Mr. James Hills Sr., 83, of Oak Street, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Thomson Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Waysgrove Baptist Church, Stellaville, with the Rev. Jimmy McCollough III officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hills, a native of Warren County, had retired as a truck driver and a custodian. He was a member of Waysgrove Baptist Church, where he was a member of Waysgrove Moral Aid Society.

The family said, ``He was a great father and a hard worker until his health failed.''

Survivors include two sons, Bengie Passmore, Wrens, and Eddie Beasley, Atlanta; four daughters, Charlene Paschal, Atlanta, and Della Mae Hill, Melinda Beasley and Audrey Passmore, all of Wrens; three sisters, Mabel Moss, Jewel, Mildred Ficklin, Rochester, N.Y., and Rena Lott, Warrenton; and 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Beasley, Lester Pitts, Charles Pitts, Larry Pitts, Henry Pitts and Wallace Beasley.

Friends may call at the residence or at Freeman Funeral Home.
