Mrs. Azelean Brewton

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Mrs. Azelean Reddick Brewton, 65, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Nannie E. Williams United Methodist Church, Millen, Ga., with the Rev. Loretta Strong officiating. Burial will be in New Millen Cemetery, Millen.

Mrs. Brewton, a native of Millen, Ga., was a employee of Broward County schools and a member of Nannie E. Williams United Methodist Church, Millen, and St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Fort Lauderdale.

Survivors include her husband, Jonas Brewton Sr.; two sons, John Davis Edwards, Atlanta, and Jonas Brewton Jr.; Fort Lauderdale; two daughters, Barbara Jean Edwards, Augusta, and Fayette Brewton, Fort Lauderdale; her mother, Hattie Chafers, Millen; two brothers, John W. Reddick, Augusta, and Eugene Chafers, Fort Lauderdale; four sisters, Willie Mae Dukes and Corine Saunders, both of Fort Lauderdale, and Ernestine Pinkney and Victoria C. Kimotho, both of Millen; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

The family will receive friends at the residence of her mother or at Dwight's Funeral Home.
