The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, with the Rev. Ben Willis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bankston, a native of Wilkes County, was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, C.B. Bankston; five sons, Alfonso Bankston, East Point, Marion Bankston, College Park, Thomas Bankston, Rex, Alvin Bankston, Jonesboro, and Vernon Bankston, Geilenkirchen, Germany; five daughters, Nancy Haygood, Athens, Reba Ball, Philadelphia, and Mary Ann Shank, Elnora Crawford and Lila Bankston, all of Washington; a brother, Jessie Wright, Atlanta; two sisters, Eloise Solomen, Nashville, Tenn., and Rose Davenport, Los Angeles; and 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Davenport-McLendon Funeral Home, Washington.
