AIKEN - Mr. Alfonso A. Williams, 55, of Abbeville Avenue, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Beverly Manor of Augusta.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Elko Baptist Church, Elko, with the Revs. Alvin Settles and James Moody officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Williams, a native of Barnwell, had retired as associate executive director of the department of Human Resources at Harlem Hospital Center, New York.

Survivors include a brother, Joenathan Williams, Aiken; and a sister, Geneva Williams, Aiken.

Pallbearers will be William Salley, Eddie Green, Calvin Council, Gene Long, Vincent Aiken and Ronnie Hall.

Friends may call at the residence or Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
