Cellist slaying suspect denies guilt in robbery

An Augusta teen facing murder charges in the death of Augusta Symphony cellist David Reader pleaded not guilty Thursday in an unrelated robbery.

Tyreese L. Finey, 16, was arraigned in Richmond County Superior Court with co-defendant Marquis Nunnally, 18, on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and weapon violations in an April 10 robbery and assault.

Mr. Finey and Anthony Joe Jr., 19, are accused of murder in the May 11 shooting death of Mr. Reader. They have not been indicted on those charges.

Teen denies guilt in officer impersonation

A South Carolina teenager accused of pretending to be a police officer at the Mayor's Masters Reception was arraigned Thursday.

Evan B. Campbell, 18, of Ridge Spring, pleaded not guilty in Richmond County Superior Court to charges of impersonating an officer and theft.

Police say he was dressed in black fatigues with the word "police" on his T-shirt, with handcuffs, pepper spray and a loaded 9 mm that was reported stolen.

Man wanted in slaying of 65-year-old arrested

The second man wanted in the shooting death of 65-year-old Johnny W. Davis surrendered to investigators Thursday.

Dennis Marcel Mingledolph, 20, of Dewitt Street, faces charges including murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Richmond County sheriff's Lt. Scott Peebles.
