Anti-choice groups terrorize women
Letter to the Editor
Tuesday, July 01, 2008

In response to George Vozinak's letter ("Malkin nailed it on Planned Parenthood," June 26), I have to say that I am angry that Mr. Vozinak and the other anti-choice extremists continue to assert that it is their right to have the government interfere in women's lives.

It is shameful that the National Right to Life Committee continues pushing their misogynistic agenda, while at the same time, they have done nothing for our children.

For example, the National Right to Life Committee has constantly opposed expanding state CHIP programs, which would have given 10 million children free health care. So from this point on, I never want to hear any anti-choicer say that they care about children ever again!

Then, the anti-choicers' support of laws that kill thousands of women during childbirth. The misogynists can always talk about the fetuses, but they never see pictures of the women they are killing with their laws.

Speaking of killing, next up is the National Right to Life Committee's utter failure to condemn terrorist attacks on women's health clinics 26 years running. They have sat idly by as groups allied with the NRLC commit acts of terrorism again and again on women's health clinics that specialize in abortion services, and they have only condoned those attacks again and again. And this past June 7, they were terrorizing women again, by lying about the birth control pills and their functions.

So not only does the National Right to Life hate women, they also hate children. It is time to defund all anti-choice groups once and for all.

Jovan Byars, Williston, S.C.
