Authorities search for missing woman, sons

Authorities are investigating the disappearance of an Augusta mother and her two children who went missing Saturday.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report, a witness told police that 21-year-old Kateshia Allen of the 3000 block of Camak Drive left her home late Saturday night with her 2-year-old and 6-month-old sons, accompanied by a man driving a burgundy sedan.

Ms. Allen did not show up for work Sunday, and when her employer contacted her through text message, she responded: "My children are dead."

Her family and co-workers have not been able to reach her since, according to the sheriff's office.
