BATH, S.C. - Entered into rest in Columbus, GA on Monday, June 23, 2008, Mrs. Mondella Audrey Weathersbee, wife of the late Mr. J. W. Weathersbee, of 344 Dixie Clay Road, Bath, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Weathersbee, a son, Harold Weathersbee, one brother, four sisters, four grandsons and two great grandsons. Surviving is a son, Carlton Weathersbee (Delores), Beech Island, SC; three daughters, Hazel Dunbar, (late Rusty), Beech Island, SC, Helen Hasty (Dr. Ronald), Clearwater, and Carol Bassett (Dr. Wilbur), Columbus, GA; a sister, Inez Pittman, Belvedere, SC; a daughter-in-law, Edith Weathersbee, Bolivar, TN; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Weathersbee was born in Warrenville, SC to the late John Saunders and Susan Mondella Grant Cobb. She was the oldest member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and its George Franklin Sunday School Class, the Friendly Neighbor Club and she furnished the churches flowers for Sunday services and other occasions for 25 years. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ronald Hasty officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerry Hatcher, Ross Toole, Richard Swearingen , Bubba Toole, J.C. Hutto and Ed Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorials to may be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church, Pentecost United Methodist Church, Capers Chapel United Methodist Church and Woodridge Baptist Church. Friends may call at the residence of Carlton and Delores Weathersbee, 344 Dixie Clay Road, Bath, SC or on Wednesday at 6 until 8 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, U.S. Hwy.
