The Augusta Chronicle is looking for five youths to participate in a special photography project. The children will be given disposable cameras to take photos of how they are spending their summer vacation. They'll get a few lessons from Chronicle photographers before being let loose for a week with the cameras.

Their pictures will be published in the newspaper later this summer. One or two weekday workshops may be required. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from workshops and for monitoring their kids during meetings. Children must be age 10 to 17 (or in grades 5 through 12 next school year) to participate. No special vacation plans or trips out of town are required. We are interested in normal day-to-day activities. Applications are due by Tuesday, June 23. Children who wish to participate should fill out the form below and click "submit" below. Good luck!

Parent's permission: My child has permission to participate in The Augusta Chronicle's Kids Photography Project. I understand that one or two weekday meetings may be involved, that I am responsible for transporting my child to and from such meetings and for monitoring my child during the workshops. The Augusta Chronicle has my permission to publish photos taken by my child as a result of this project.
