DOVER, Del. --- The focus of Tuesday's meeting at Roush Fenway Racing may be the team's satellite operation, Yates Racing.
Although cars driven by Travis Kvapil and David Gilliland officially are owned by Doug Yates , they operate under the Roush Fenway corporate umbrella.
While they get technical and mechanical help from Roush Fenway, some drivers left the Dover International Speedway Sunday questioning whether they're true teammates.
Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle got within 10 car lengths of leader Kyle Busch with 83 laps to go in Sunday's Best Buy 400, but their chances stalled down the stretch behind Kvapil's lapped car.
By the time they managed to clear Kvapil, they were more than 500 yards behind.
"Carl and I spent 10 laps, eight laps behind one of our teammate cars and lost a tremendous amount of track position," Biffle said.
PHONE HOME: Juan Pablo Montoya , Kasey Kahne , Jeremy Mayfield , Kurt Busch and Bobby Labonte all made video conference calls to U.S. troops serving in Iraq before the race.
Servicemen were able to talk to their favorite drivers as each took a turn working the phones at the Dodge Boys fan plaza in front of the racetrack.
Mayfield just returned from a 12-day visit for the USO to drive for Dario Franchitti while he recovers from a broken ankle.
"What the media portrays them to be doing over here in the United States is not what's going on over there," Mayfield said. "There's a good thing going on over there, trust me."
