TODAY

New on video and DVD: 25th Hour, starring Edward Norton as a drug dealer contemplating his last day of freedom; Adaptation, starring Nicolas Cage as a screenwriter trying to adapt a nonfiction book into a movie; Denzel Washington as a Navy psychiatrist who helps a young sailor in Antwone Fisher; and Patrick Stewart as Capt. Picard in another installment of the Star Trek franchise: Star Trek: Nemesis.

New CDs in stores today include a self-titled album from the Deftones; 14 Shades of Grey, from Staind; a long-awaited follow-up album from rockers Live; and Poodle Hat, the latest comedic venture from Weird Al Yankovic.

WEDNESDAY

The Augusta GreenJackets take on the Rome Braves at 7:15 p.m. at Lake Olmstead Stadium on Milledge Road. The cost is $8 for box seats, $7 for reserved seats, $6 for general admission, $5 for seniors, military and ages 4-12, and $1 for children 3 or younger. THURSDAY

The Rock, Roll and Remember benefit concert will begin at 6:45 p.m. at the Imperial Theatre, 745 Broad St. The concert, a fund-raiser for the Jenny Clark Scholarship Fund, will feature The Aphrodisiacs, Daze of Haze, Blender, The Big Mighty and Redbelly. FRIDAY

New movies in wide release today include Bruce Almighty, starring Jim Carrey as an ordinary man given extraordinary powers; and The In-Laws, starring Albert Brooks and Michael Douglas as fathers-in-law-to-be feuding over the marriage of their children.

School's out for summer in Richmond County.

SATURDAY

Southgate Christian School will hold a yard sale and car wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit the athletic department at the school, 2226 Peach Orchard Road. Call Kathy Batchelor at 792-1748.

Jermaine Browne will lead master dance classes from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Augusta Ballet School, 2941 Walton Way. Mr. Browne is from the Broadway Dance Center in New York and has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. He will be teaching jazz, hip-hop and funk. The cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Call 828-3101.

MONDAY

The Augusta Concert Band will present a Memorial Day concert at 7 p.m. at the Jessye Norman Amphitheater, Riverwalk Augusta. The concert is free and donations are accepted. For more information, call (803) 202-0091.
