Many of the black-and-white photos are accompanied by quotations:

``There is no greater joy than the joy a child brings,'' says Faith Hill, seen with daughters Maggie and Gracie.

``I can't bear to think of a world without them in it,'' says Jaclyn Smith Allen of her mom, Margaret Ellen Smith, and daughter, Spencer-Margaret Richmond.

And Jennifer Lopez says that mom Guadelupe ``was my strength and discipline. She made it possible for me to follow all of my dreams and become what I am today.''

But every mom is a star, even if she's not in this book.

TV TONIGHT: Sheri Easter, a resident of Lincolnton, Ga., and half of the Jeff & Sheri Easter gospel duo, will be seen in two episodes of the CBS series Touched by an Angel.

The episodes air at 8 tonight and Sunday, May 20, on WRDW-TV (Channel 12). Ms. Easter appears in a non-speaking role as part of a gospel singing family called the Winslows, led by country stars Randy Travis and John Schneider. She sings backup on several songs, including Shallow Water, Feet on the Rock and Because He Lives.

``I taped the show three weeks ago in Salt Lake City (Utah),'' said Mrs. Easter. ``I was standing on the right side in the group for most of the filming.''

Also featured in the episodes are guest stars Rue McClanahan, David Canary, Faye Dunaway and Delta Burke.

Sheri and Jeff Easter have released numerous recordings and have performed on several Bill Gaither Homecoming specials on TNN and Inspiration cable networks. Sheri's mother, Polly Copsey, is a lead vocalist of the well-known Lewis Family bluegrass-gospel group.
