THE EVENT

The U.S. Postal Service is participating in the 16th annual nationwide Stamp Out Hunger! food drive Saturday.

WHO CAN HELP

Residents can leave sturdy bags or boxes of nonperishable food by their mailbox before their regular mail delivery. Nonperishable foods include canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice and cereal.

HOW IT WORKS

Mail carriers will pick up donations during their normal routes and deliver the food to Golden Harvest Food Bank.

WHO IT BENEFITS

Golden Harvest serves 30 counties in Georgia and South Carolina. It provides groceries through direct service programs and more than 500 partners.
