Investigators arrested one more man Thursday in connection to Hill-area burglaries and named a man arrested Wednesday a "prime suspect" in the case.

Christopher Miller, 49, was apprehended Thursday afternoon outside a home in the 2500 block of Walton Way, according to property crimes Lt. Tony Walden. The homeowner called police after a man fitting Mr. Miller's description broke into her screened-in porch and tried to enter her home while she was inside.

A day earlier, Quentin Fielding, 33, of 14th Avenue, was taken into custody less than a block from a home that was burglarized in the 2800 block of Hillcrest Avenue. He had two cameras and an iPod valued at about $1,000 that were taken from the home, Lt. Walden said.

Blood samples previously connected Mr. Fielding to at least three 2004 break-ins in that area. He was out on bond for those burglaries and shoplifting charges in Georgia and South Carolina when he was caught by deputies, Lt. Walden said.

"Quentin Fielding has just jumped to No. 1 on my list on a lot of these burglaries we've been investigating on the Hill," Lt. Walden said. "I think he's a prime suspect because of his history."

The arrests bring the number of suspects charged in the investigation to five. On April 25, Tavares Harmon, 18, of the 2800 block of Royal Street, was arrested outside a home in the 3200 block of Wheeler Road. Investigators believe he was acting as a lookout for a group of other men. A stolen sport utility vehicle from a previous Hill burglary was in the home's driveway.

Later that afternoon, 17-year-old Nicholas Cooper, of the 500 block of First Avenue, was arrested and charged based on forensic evidence recovered from the stolen SUV, according to investigators. Damien Wilkinson, 23, of the 2800 block of Oakland Avenue, surrendered to investigators May 1. He was wanted in the burglary of a home on Bransford Road in April.

There have been at least 13 burglaries believed to be related since the middle of March, many near Walton Way and nearby roads. Estimates put the value of jewelry, vehicles and electronics stolen at more than $122,000.
