Richmond County sheriff's narcotics investigators conducting a raid in the Harrisburg area late Wednesday arrested four men on drug-related charges.
Sheriff's Investigator Richard Cowell said the men face several charges, including disorderly conduct and possession of cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana. The identities and exact charges for the four suspects were not immediately available, early Thursday.
About 9:30 p.m., sheriff's narcotics agents responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Ellis Street, after receiving a tip from a confidential informant, Investigator Cowell said.
Police were unable to immediately provide details surrounding volume or street-value of the confiscated drugs, Investigator Cowell said. No guns were found, he said.
The arrests were significant because of "escalating problems that have occurred in the Harrisburg area lately," Investigator Cowell said.
All four suspects remained in the Richmond County jail as of early Thursday morning, police said.
