BLYTHE, Ga. - Mr. William "Bill" West Maggard, 88, entered into rest Sunday, May 2, 2004 at University Hospital, Augusta. Mr. Maggard retired from Reliable Battery Co. He was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Amarillo and San Antonio, Texas. Bill lived with his late wife Francis in Bella Vista, Arkansas and Bayfield, Colo. after moving from San Antonio. He moved to the Augusta area in 1997. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Bath Presbyterian Church, Blythe, Ga. He is survived by daughter, Maurine Resch, Blythe, Ga.; son, David Lee Maggard, Sugarland, Texas. Also survived by grandchildren, Christina and William Maggard of Sugarland, Texas.
