Mrs. Catherine Mura

Mrs. Catherine Fix Mura, of Martinez, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at her residence. She was 100.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with the Revs. James Costigan and Thomas Peyton officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Mura, a native of Augusta, was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, James W. Mura Jr., Cocoa Beach, Fla., Ryan L. Mura, Atlanta, and Aubin Mura, North Augusta; a daughter, Mary Mura Gill, Augusta; and 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joey Gill, Eric Gill, Jamie Gill, Bobby Deer, Billy Outley and Michael Mura.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Mura's personal care givers.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph of Carandolet Retirement Home, c/o Nazareth Living Center, 2 Nazareth Lane, St. Louis, MO 63129; or to Catholic Social Services, 811 12th St., Augusta, GA 30901.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
