AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. David C. Foster, age 62, husband of Mrs. Sherry Foster, entered into rest on April 15, 2008 at University Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 5:00 PM with The Very Reverend Robert D. Fain officiating. Mr. Foster was a passionate outdoorsman and a lifelong student of history. After more than 40 years of writing, he leaves a legacy of published work that will continue to inspire, entertain and inform his family, friends and readers for many years to come. He lived his life well and fought valiantly till the end. Survivors in addition to his wife include; three daughters, Rebecca Elizabeth Tone of Winder, GA; Hillary Foster Pennington of Laurel, MD, Alexandra Lee Foster of Augusta, GA; one brother, Edward Foster, Jr. of Navarre, FL, three sisters, Katherine Foster of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Helen Foster Pate of Sparta, TN, Martha Elizabeth Foster of Virginia Beach, FL.; and seven grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Carper, Michael Carraway, Paul Fersen, Michael Floyd, Ron Foster, Bill Klyn, Jim Manry, and Rob Pavey. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall at the Church of the Good Shepherd after the service on Monday, April 21, 2008.
