PORTAL, Ga. - Mr. Robert Irone NeSmith, 66, died Thursday. Surviving are wife of 44 years, Margaret A. NeSmith of Portal; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Mike and Teresa NeSmith of Portal; daughters and sons-in- law, Edgie Lou and Scott Ray of Tocoa, Teresa and James Davis of Millen, Fannie Kaye and Bobby VanHorn of Portal, Margaret C. NeSmith and her companion, Shirley Saturday of Lincolnton; brothers, Marvin NeSmith of Portal, Alton NeSmith of Statesboro and Remer NeSmith of Metter; sister, Betty NeSmith of Statesboro; grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Sservice will be 2 p.m., Saturday at in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. James F. Bland, Jr. and Rev. Dudley Penton, officiating. Burial will be in the Upper Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
