AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John Robert Johnson, 92, of Lewis Road, entered into rest on March 11, 2003, at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2003, at 2:30 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rayle, with the Rev. James McIver officiating. The body will lie in state at the Water Branch Baptist Church, Grovetown from 11 a.m., until noon. The funeral procession will leave the church at 12:15 p.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Carrie Fanning of Athens; two nieces, Betty Fanning and Debotah Fanning both of Athens; one nephew, Jessie (Theresa) Willowby of Eatonton; two grand nieces, Crystal Bell and Neshanta Johnson both of Athens; four grand nephews, Brandon, Ryan, Justin and Nicholas Willowby all of Eatonton; one great grand nephew, Master Joshua Henderson of Athens; one goddaughter, Trenia Germany of Harlem.
