MATTHEWS, Ga. - Mary Wheeler Holley, 95, entered into rest March 13, 2003 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday March 16, at 3 p.m., at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shannon Ramsey, Raymond James and Wylie Prescott officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Holley was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church whose membership has now been transferred to the Holy Triumphant Church in Glory. She will be remembered as a Godly woman and was loved by everyone. She was a loving mother, always patient and always concerned about others, especially her children and grandchildren. Survivors include four daughters, Audrey Bowles, Statesboro; Margie James, JoAnn Prescott, and Joyce Williford, Matthews; two sons, W. C. Holley, Wrens; Don Holley, Harlem; twenty three grandchildren, 35 great- grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 78 years, James "Jim" Holley, Sr., her son, James "Jimmie" Holley, Jr., and her daughter, Peggy Holley Strickland. Pallbearers will be Keith Holley, Mark Holley, Trent Holley, James Bowles, Charles Holley, and Jason Holley. Memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
