The posted awards are $3,069,522 ... NASCAR and FOX have worked out a deal to send the broadcast of Sunday's race and future Winston Cup Series events to the Armed Forces Network. More than 800,000 servicemen and women serving in 170 countries and another 100,000 Marines and sailors serving on U.S. Navy ships will be able to watch live telecasts of NASCAR events, as well as taped replays ... Jeff Gordon, the current points leader, has won five of the past 11 races at Darlington ... Unlike the normal routine of Friday afternoon qualifying, time trials for Sunday's race will be Saturday morning.
