AIKEN, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Whisnant Philbeck will be held Friday, February 21, 2003 at 4 p.m., at St. Johnâs United Methodist Church with The Revs Sheila D. Rogers and Samuel E. Marcengill officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Mrs. Philbeck, 89, of Aiken, widow of Thomas Edward Philbeck, died Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center. She was born January 18, 1914 in Shelby, N.C. to Charles C. and Mamie Lattimore Whisnant. She had lived in Aiken since 1952 and was a member of St. Johnâs United Methodist Church. Mrs. Philbeck is survived by her son Thomas Edward Philbeck, II and his wife, Leone of Aiken. Memorials may be made to the St. Johnâs UMC Organ Fund, P.O. Box 809, Aiken, SC 29802.
