MARTIN, S.C. - Mrs. Betty Myric Mims, the wife of the late Albert Hazel Mims, died Tuesday morning at her residence after a brief illness. She was 72. Mrs. Mims was born in Allendale County April 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Jefferson P. Myric and Ruth Boyles Myric. She was a member of the Gillettes United Methodist Church, and a homemaker. Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Harter and her husband, Joe of Martin, Bonnie Cone and her husband, Jerry of Sycamore, Ruthie Wall and her husband, Wyman of Fairfax; four grandsons, Joseph Harter, Michael Cone and his wife, J. J., Jason Wall and his wife, Nichol, and Jashua Wall; one brother, Julian Myric; three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Leanne Cone. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 in the chapel of Smith-Rhoden F.H. with burial following in the Swallow Savannah Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Smith-Rhoden F.H. of Allendale is in charge of arrangements. Sign the guestbook at AugustaChronicle.com
