PERRY, Ga. - Mrs. Marie L. Crafton, 83, of Perry, died Monday, February 17, 2003, in The Church Home for the Aged. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2003, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Pitman officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery, Amity. Mrs. Crafton was a native of McDuffie County, but had lived in Clearwater, Fla. most of her live. She was retired from the Retail Clothing Business and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, where she was active in the Senior Sunday School Class. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Wellmaker, Clearwater; her brother, R. L. Luckey Jr., Perry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chesley Luckey and three sisters, Bessie Mae Rabun, Frances Walker, and Ruby Neal. Pallbearers will be Rob Luckey, Tom Luckey, Joe Gay, Ken Richards, Eric Gearns, and Keith Neal. The family request no flowers. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Evelyn Richards or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
