TRIVIA: Band traces its roots back to the Aussie family act the Farriss Brothers

- The original lineup formed in 1977 and took the name INXS in 1979

- Originally marketed as New Wave, despite a Rolling Stones-style stadium sound

- Band released the album Elegantly Wasted in the spring of 1997. In November 1997, lead singer Michael Hutchence was found dead, an apparent suicide.

- Before finding current singer J.D. Fortune in the wonderful world of reality television, semistars Terence Trent D'Arby and Jon Stephens occupied the spot.
