As expected, this year's Oscar nominations are dominated by cowboys, Capote, communism and Cash.
The Augusta Chronicle is once again asking readers to go head-to-head with resident movie man Steven Uhles and try to outpick the picker. Previous performances might indicate an easy victory - Mr. Uhles has gotten hammered the past couple of years - but he insists he's rested and ready, a true Cinderella Man.
Whatever.
The reader who guesses the most correct winners in the five major categories will win an entertainment prize pack featuring a selection of CDs, DVDs and other surprises. In the case of a tie, a blind draw will determine the winner.
Have ballots at the newspaper by 5 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2006. Mr. Uhles' picks will be in the paper Oscar Sunday, March 5, and the winner will be announced Tuesday, March 7.
Good night, and good luck.
