HUGE RAVE for the lunchroom staff at Cedar Ridge Elementary. They have made eating lunch at school a treat again. Miss Susie and her staff even make homemade pizza on Fridays! Thanks for your hard work.
RANTS TO THE James Brown Arena. Again, on the busiest night of hockey all year, the arena food provider only opens one concession stand, and then doesn't have any food ready for the waiting crowd. You need a new contractor.
THANK YOU, Columbia County, for ruining my shocks and alignment with your stupid speed humps all over the place.
A RANT TO The Chronicle. Your Spotted photos get trashier and trashier. Doesn't anyone review them before they are published?
A RANT TO parents of high school students who don't drug test their kids. Get on it, people. The drug problem with this age group is getting horrible, and you'd be surprised how many abuse drugs.
I SECOND THE rant about the police and the DUI thing going too far. I think the public would be appalled to know what is going on in the Richmond County jail.
THIS IS FOR THE insensitive, cruel jerk who sent in the rant for the "lady to adjust her wig," knowing this woman is a recovering cancer patient. How cruel can you be?
A BIG RANT TO all the "adults" speeding around everywhere and practicing very unsafe driving habits. Just how are we supposed to teach our children to be safe drivers when they can't even get two blocks down the road without someone riding their bumpers for going the speed limit?
THANK YOU to the gentleman who helped me, a blind man, and my guide dog cross a busy intersection on Walton Way. Not only did he come to my aid; he walked me across the street and made sure I was OK. He even offered me a ride if that would help. There are still good people in the world.
MORE ABOUT thug Brian Nichols' crimes. Over $2 million of taxpayer money spent on his lawyers and no one in authority has asked where is the money? Somebody's stealing us blind.
RAVE TO costco coming to Augusta. It will give Sam's a much-needed run for the money.
FIRST OF ALL, congratulations to the Richmond County police for upholding the law regarding DUI. Nothing is more frightening than to see two headlights coming toward you on the wrong side of the road. If people cannot control their drinking, they should drink at home.
IS ANYONE from management at Channel 12 watching the early morning news? I happened to see it today by chance. The two you have doing the news are the most immature people that I have ever seen. If you are attempting to have a morning news show for middle school-aged viewers, you got it.
SHAME ON OUR LEGISLATORS. Don't they know how important it is to keep MCG strong? If the hospital goes down the tubes, then there is really no reason for the Medical College to stay in Augusta.
THIS IS FOR Richmond County bar owners who throw people out of their bar and then take their money off the counter. They have officers throw you out when you hadn't even been drinking! They should get their stuff together.
TO THE PERSON WHO RESPONDED to the school nurse salary issue. Nurses care for the whole school of children. If all the nurses leave and go to work in a hospital, who do you think is going to take care of the diabetic, asthmatic and otherwise ill children? There is no excuse for a lack of respect and poor pay. The teachers are making more than $9 an hour, unlike the nurses.
