Meeting coming up soon about reciprocal fishing agreement

  • Follow Fishing

As noted by Rob Pavey in last Sunday’s column on the outdoors page, an important meeting affecting the reciprocal fishing agreement between Georgia and South Carolina will be held Tuesday at Mistletoe State Park.

All fishermen who fish the Savannah River Basin trout streams and border lakes need to show up for the 7-9 p.m. meeting. Directions to the state park can be found at www.gastateparks.org/Mistletoe. Most Augusta area residents know where Mistletoe is located. The park has waived the parking fee for meeting attendees.

The Georgia Wildlife Resources Division of the Department of Natural Resources is interested in hearing comments from anglers about the proposed changes. Now is your time to be heard.
