Open Team Bass Tournament

April 21, Wildwood Park

Entry fee is $75. One place paid for every 10 boats. Guaranteed first-place payout is $5,000. Hours are safe light until 3 p.m. Free food and drinks. Kids’ fishing rodeo for 2- to 12-year-olds all day. Registration at Academy Sports and Outdoors in Evans from 5 to 7 p.m., on April 19. Fishing rodeo entrants should register, too, but they also can register on site. A drawing for a $1,000 scholarship will be held following the rodeo. Event beneficiaries include handicapped children, children afflicted by cancer, senior citizens. Sponsors include Hayes Marine, Club Car, SunGrow, Walmart, Dealer Options, Aaron’s. Toyota, Ink Boy, Academy Sports and Outdoors, Milton Ruben and WRDW-TV, Channel 12.

Fish for Life Foundation

Members are eligible to participate in three annual bass tournaments that pay back $10,000 first-place money. Entry fee is $100 per year, $20 membership fee and two toys. The team earning the most points at the end of the year will earn an additional $1,000. The foundation helps local children and cancer patients in need. Guaranteed first place is $5,000. Pre-registration entry fee is $110, including big fish pot. Hours are safe light until 3 p.m. If neither team member is a member of a Clark Hill Committee club, cost is an additional $50. All boats must be checked in at the ramp by 6 a.m.

Savannah River Bass Tournament

Next: April 15. Entry fee is $40 per team or person with 100 percent payback. Includes big fish pot. Five-fish limit. Hours are safe light to 1 p.m. Weigh-in and registration will be held at the Bob Baurle Boat Ramp below the

Schedule: At Butler Reservoir unless otherwise noted: April 15, bass tournament, safe light until noon. Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event’s start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
