Fish for Life Foundation

Members are eligible to participate in three annual bass tournaments that pay back $10,000 first-place money. Entry fee is $100 per year, $20 membership fee and two toys. The team earning the most points at the end of the year will earn an additional $1,000. The foundation helps local children and cancer patients in need. Tournament hours are safe light to 3 p.m. American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament trail for the weekend angler, with more than 116 districts offering more than 1,000 tournaments throughout the nation. Membership is open to anyone 16 years old and over, but is closed to professional fishermen and professional guides. Those under 18 must have their parents’ consent. Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event’s start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
