Open Team Bass Tournament

April 19, Wildwood Park

Guaranteed total payout of $3,725, with $1,000 going to first- place team. Big fish prize is $500. You must be a foundation member ($20 per year dues) to fish it. Fifteen places paid based on a field of 50 boats. Drawing for boat positions will be held at Academy Sports & Outdoors in Evans from 5-7 p.m. April 17. Tournament sponsors include Dixie Beverage, Hayes Marine, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Walmart, Aaron’s, Bobby Jones Ford-Lincoln, Dealer Options, First Bank, Save Phace, Cliatt’s Crossing, Broadway Tackle and Ink Boy.

Langley Pond Shootout

Tournament will be held on Langley end of pond every Wed­nesday from 6-10 p.m. Entry fee is $20 per person. Five-fish limit. Bass must be 12 inches long or better. 100 percent payback. For more information, call (803) 278-1580.

The April 20 tournament was canceled because it falls on Easter. A makeup tournament has been scheduled for March 16 out of Wildwood Park. Rest of the schedule remains the same.

Schedule: Saturday, Clarks Hill, Wildwood Park. April 12, Clarks Hill, Wildwood Park. Division championship: May 24-25, Clarks Hill, Wildwood Park.

Membership dues are $25 and the tournament fee is $70. Tournament hours are safe light to 3 p.m. American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament trail for the weekend angler, with more than 116 districts offering more than 1,000 tournaments throughout the nation. Membership is open to anyone 16 years old and over, but is closed to professional fishermen and professional guides. Those under 18 must have their parents’ consent. Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event’s start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
