AUG. 5: Pinetucky Gun Club will hold an IDPA Pistol Match at 8:30 a.m., open to anyone with a center fire pistol and holster. Cost is $5 for club members, $12 for nonmembers.

AUG. 10: An outdoors expo focused on hunting, fishing, archery, shooting, taxidermy and off-road recreation will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. at Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Road, featuring Jimmy Sites of Spiritual Outdoor Adventures. Door prizes include a four-passenger EZ-GO golf car, a Big Green Egg grill and a guided fishing trip from Sasser’s Guide Service. AUG. 14: The Fort Gordon Natural Resources Branch will host a public meeting at the Signal Theater (Bldg # 21610, Barnes Avenue) from 6 to 9 p.m. to discuss changes to hunting and fishing regulations and deer harvest quota.

AUG. 18: Pinetucky Gun Club will hold an NRA First Shots Shotgun event to introduce new shooters to shotguns. Event begins at 9 a.m. and pre-registration is required. Cost is $10.

AUG. 25: Pinetucky Gun Club will hold a U.S. Practical Shooting Association Pistol Shoot at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $8 for members, $15 for nonmembers.
