Davidson swimmer makes finals

In Atlanta, Davidson Fine Arts’ freshman Lindsay Wallace came in third in the girls 500 freestyle and eighth in the 200 freestyle at the GHSA State Swimming and Diving Championships.

Evans’ Mitchell Petras finished sixth in the boys 200 IM and Aquinas’ Jackie Jeschke placed fourth in the girls 100 backstroke and fifth in the 200 IM.

All three advanced to today’s finals with a chance to win a state title.

In the finals of the boys diving competition, C.J. Simmons, of Greenbrier, was seventh and Evans’ Dillon Keeler was 11th.

 In the girls finals, Greenbrier’s Ayanna Woods was fifth and Grovetown’s Meghan Zets was ninth.
